What: POSTDOC SOCIAL: everyone welcome
When: Thursday 6 August from 18:00
Where: café kollekiv krawall at the Lumiere Cinema – go to Geismar Landstraße 19, 37083 Göttingen and follow the signs to the Lumiere.
Other: Come to hang out with like-minded people, grab a bite to eat together or just be. The café does hot drinks, cocktails, beer, snacks and food – bring friends+. We might be outdoors if it’s hot. 20 September – Postdoc Explore Hardenberg Castle and Distillery – PAW Germany event! Everyone welcome!
What: Get out of the lab! Postdoc Explore Hardenberg Castle and Distillery! Friends welcome
When: Sunday 20 September
What: meet at Göttingen Station and travel to Nörten-Hardenberg station where there is a 15 minute walk together. We will then enjoy a tour of the Castle and Distillery which takes around 2 ½ hours. The Distillery is only open to those over 18 years old but there is a restaurant and a shop and walks nearby if you don’t want to do that part of the tour.
Other: Likely cost is €19 per person for both Castle and Distillery and €7.50 per person for just the Castle tour which lasts 1 hour. Please contact Sarah to book your place and get more details as soon as possible. Information about the area: https://der-hardenberg.com/

Over 100 experts from near and far, industry and academia, 200 attendees from across Göttingen. We just added coffee and around six m2 of pizza to spark off positive, lively connections. A special thank you to those who returned to Göttingen in 2026 to share their challenges, tips and wiggly career paths! And thanks to the teams who shared advice about careers, funding, training and more. It was great to have you, the researchers, there! Info about this event is here.
