POSTDOC FOREST BOTANICAL GARDEN TOUR - ALL WELCOME – see rare trees in their vivid autumn colours!
When:  Wednesday 22 October at 16:00 until 17:00/17:30 approx
Where: meet point on Am Fassberg – see google maps – between Grisebachstraße and Otto Hahn Straße
What: The tour will be led by Dr Fabian Brambach, Curator Forest Botanical Garden (Nordcampus) and postdoc here with interests in plant ecology, biogeography and systematics. Apart from the fall colours, highlights include rare specimens from around the world, the opportunity to appreciate the diversity on our doorstep and meet other researchers. Questions and discussion welcomed.
Other: The tour is along a mixture of paved, gravel and stone paths fine for pushchairs and will start promptly. Please dress appropriately for the season and terrain. Why: to meet other postdocs, find solutions and have fun! If you can, let us know you’re coming (email me) but also fine to turn up spontaneously.
Where: Café Botanik, Untere Karspüle 1b, 37073 Göttingen (Café Botanik’s website or Google maps). You can get Persian specialties, fresh snacks, unique tea and coffee creations as well as a range of cocktails, beers and wines.
Everyone welcome: organised by postdocs for postdocs to provide an opportunity for company and connection. Everyone is welcome (including partners, other researchers, colleagues, friends and family) so feel free to pass this invitation on. Researchers passing through Göttingen are of course welcome to pop in and join this event and get to know other researchers.

Postdoc international potluck get-together from 16:00 on Saturday 22 November. 
Bring food or drink that you enjoy for winter or Christmas celebrations – whether from your home or some traditional treat that you have discovered on your research journey.
