What: usually last Wednesday of the month. Want to get involved and learn how to communicate your research better? Göttingen’s Science Communication Network is led by researchers and welcomes interested researchers from any field, any background, any career stage, who would like to find out more, join regular meetings or events and develop their communication skills.

What: POSTDOC SOCIAL: everyone welcome
When: Thursday 17 September from 18:00
Where: Sláinte Irish pub – Hospitalstraße 35 (just by the StadtWall inside the historic water mill by the river Leine. Some of you were here when it was Sausalitos). See Google maps.
Other: Come to hang out with a diversity of people, grab a bite to eat or something to drink or just be. The pub does small meals and snacks, hot drinks, cocktails, beer, Guinness – bring friends+. We might be outdoors if it’s hot. It helps me if you let me know if you’re coming! What: Get out of the lab! Postdoc Explore Hardenberg Castle and Distillery! Friends welcome
When: Sunday 20 September
What: meet at Göttingen Station and travel to Nörten-Hardenberg station where there is a 15 minute walk together. We will then enjoy a tour of the Castle and Distillery which takes around 2 ½ hours. The Distillery is only open to those over 18 years old but there is a restaurant and a shop and walks nearby if you don’t want to do that part of the tour.
Other: Likely cost is €19 per person for both Castle and Distillery and €7.50 per person for just the Castle tour which lasts 1 hour. Please contact Sarah to book your place and get more details as soon as possible. Information about the area: https://der-hardenberg.com/
