What: Summer social: GC Postdoc Network teaming up with btS The Life Sciences student initiative – an opportunity to meet other researchers, discover interdisciplinary overlap, share research ideas and a sausage. Open to members of both networks plus their partners, colleagues, friends, kids etc.
Where: Lake behind the Physics Building, Friedrich Hund Platz 1, 37077 Göttingen  (Google maps) - Go into the Physics Building, take a left and go down the steps through the Café Caphy and out to the lake.

What: POSTDOC WALK&TALK SOCIAL ! NORDCAMPUS ! – all welcome: partners, colleagues, friends
When: Friday 27 June at 18:30
Where: In front of the Physics Building, Friedrich Hund Platz 1, 37077 Göttingen (Google map) Look for the yellow umbrella.
Other: This is a relaxed walk starting at the Nordcampus led by Layla to improve wellbeing. Share your week and meet people. You are free to join or leave the walk as suits you. Please email Layla, to let her know if you intend to join us to give us an idea of numbers. Also fine to turn up spontaneously. The plan is end up at the restaurant/bar “Strandhaus 37” (Bus 32/34/185/180 brings you back to the city centre or walk to bring you back to the NordCampus)
In bad weather: please meet just inside the Physics Building. The group can decide to go for a shorter walk.
Everyone welcome: organised by postdocs for postdocs to provide an opportunity for company, connection and fresh air and everyone is welcome (including partners, other researchers, colleagues, friends and family) so feel free to pass this invitation on.

Why: An opportunity to relax, share research ideas and find solutions together. You’ll find out what’s going on, make connections and meet members of the Postdoc Committee.
Other: Look for the blue Postdoc Network posters or cards on the table. There are seats outside by the river and the old mill at the back if the weather is nice. They do cocktails, and other drinks, as well as Mexican theme snacks and food (information on their website here). If you can, drop Melissa an email to let us know you’re coming but fine to turn up spontaneously. And it’s fine to turn up later too.
