Göttingen State and University Library (SUB) is among the largest, top-ranked research libraries in Germany. As central library of the University, it provides a full spectrum of information and reader services on the campus as well as maintaining service relationships with the libraries of the GC partners. Throughout the course of its history the SUB has been the library of the Göttingen Academy of Sciences and Humanities. The SUB is a leading institution in facilitating and developing research infrastructures for e-research and one of only a few libraries internationally with its own Research & Development Department. Other areas of activities include research data management, long-term preservation, digitisation, electronic publishing, open access and digital repository networks.
