Campus Institute Data Science (CIDAS)
The Campus Institute Data Science (CIDAS) is a central scientific unit of the Georg-August-University. CIDAS promotes interdisciplinary exchange and activities among faculties and campus-wide in the field of data science. This particularly applies to coordination and further development of activities in research, teaching and knowledge transfer.
The resources available to CIDAS include, financial means, the use of premises and equipment, IT infrastructure and the use of computing and server capacities. The available infrastructure thus offers members and affiliated persons of CIDAS an optimal basis for the development and implementation of projects in the field of data science.
The CIDAS is structurally divided into three sections:
- Medical Data Science
- Humanities, Cultural, and Social Sciences
- Applied Statistics
The areas within the levels are primarily arranged according to thematic identification. They do not serve as strict organizational units. The transitions between the three levels are very smooth, especially between the levels of Basics of Data Science and Applied Data Science and Computer Science.
